How do I make a Shaking Head AI video from my pet's photo?
Updated:
Short answer
Upload one photo of your pet or an adult with the face toward the camera and the eyes open, keep the background or pick a bed, sofa or kitchen, and MimicZip builds the loop. Check a 5-second bonus preview, then spend 1 credit on the 7-second 720p video. No prompt to write.

From one photo to the stare
- Open the template page. There is a single box. Use a sharp photo of one pet or one adult, face toward the camera, eyes open, head and upper chest in view, as JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB.
- Pick the place: your own background (the default), a cosy bed, a living-room sofa, a kitchen, an armchair or a garden. Pick the outfit: your own, a pastel hoodie, a cream knitted sweater, a white tee, blue pyjamas or a denim jacket. Pick the colour tone: natural, warm, cool, pastel, vivid or retro film. None changes the price.
- Pick 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 16:9 for YouTube and desktop screens.
- Consent, login, pack. Tick the photo-consent box and sign in with Google. Previews come inside a pack.
- Check the preview. It is watch-only, 5 seconds at 480p, with a PREVIEW badge. Look at whether the face still matches your photo and whether the eyes open; a quick blink in the wrong place is normal in a preview.
- Render: 1 credit gives the 7-second 720p MP4 with no watermark, saved in My videos.
- Add your caption and the sound in TikTok, starting the sound at 0 seconds.
The two rounds already built in
The camera is fixed on the head and upper chest. From 0 to 1 second the eyes are shut and the head sways. At about 1 second the eyes snap open and the tongue comes out until 3 seconds, then the eyes close again until 5 seconds, then a calm wide-eyed stare and a second tongue-out run to 7 seconds.
A pet stays on four legs and only the head moves. Nothing is lip-synced and no text is drawn; faces and timing shift a little each run.
After rendering
Download the MP4 or copy a share link from My videos. Our video follows the first 7 seconds of the @baller213465 cat clip, so use that clip’s sound from 0 seconds; the sound guide has the steps.
Questions people ask
Do I need to write a prompt?
No. The camera, the framing and the order of the beats are fixed. You provide one photo and choose the place, the outfit and the format.
Can my pet look away from the camera in the photo?
A little, but a photo with the face toward the lens and the eyes open keeps the stare on target.
Can I close the page while it renders?
Yes. Rendering carries on at our end, and the finished video is saved under your account in My videos.
